I went to Symphony Hall a couple of years ago for my first live classical performance. The Boston Symphony Orchestra was playing Beethoven's 7th symphony, among some others. I thought I had died and gone to heaven -- except you get in there free, no ticket required.

I can't do that very often, of course, but it is an entirely different experience than listening to a CD.
